Anasura - Flowing with Grace... page 1

Page 1, 2, 3

This is an exterior mosaic wall mural using the direct method of mosaic.  It's around 5 feet by 5 feet and took around 1 month to complete.  +/- 30 hours.

I've arranged the pages from completion of the project to the beginning.

Completed 8/31/07

August 15, 2007 - Grout has been removed except for bottom left corner.   You can see the color of yellow I used on the wall.  I was not able to find any concrete pigment so I used acrylic paint.

Next I'll wipe off any residue haze and begin the process of painting in-between the swirls of tile and mirror.

I may paint the grout with acrylic to intensify the color.....

I'm really tired here.  Started this morning around 10:00 a.m., stopped during mid-day heat to run errands (buy more pigment and grout) (thank goodness for hats) and finally finished around 7:30 pm.  This was a very physically demanding project.  Record heat.  I ended up just holding myself under the hose, watering my head as through it were a potted plant, plopping on my hat, and dripped to my work station. But what a sense of accomplishment!

In this picture, I'm applying grout.
